Dozens Arrested In NYPD Raid At Columbia University’s Hamilton Hall, Iran Slams “Irrational Assault”

Hundreds of NYPD officers acted after university president Minouche Shafik said there was no other way to ensure safety and restore order on campus. The confrontation occurred more than 12 hours after the demonstrators took over Hamilton Hall shortly after midnight on April 29. The protesters broke windows and entered Hamilton Hall, where they unfurled a banner reading "Hind's Hall." The protestors symbolically renamed the building after a six-year-old Palestinian child, Hind Rajab, killed in Gaza by the Israeli military on January 29. Watch the video to find out more.
